Not Dead Yet
Life is good. Watching too much TV lately; My Name is Earl, Lost, Call for Help, and Over There gets TiVOed every week. All are pretty well produced shows; sadly at least one will get cancelled in the next two months… anyone want to guess which one? Over There isn’t going anywhere as it’s a hard hitting, sit on the edge of your seat action-drama that makes you wanna cry at the end of each show. Disturbing stuff compliments of George W. Bush.
I’ve been building my own computer from the ground-up. It has been an interesting and time consuming project for a newbie like me. I have already discovered I ordered the wrong processor for my motherboard. Looks like I’ll need to find a use for that in another PC I’ll build for my parents as a Christmas gift. Hopefully it will be for Christmas 2005!
I am off to Williamsburg this weekend to have a little RNR with the parents and my brother and sister-in-law. We are staying at the Powhatan Plantation which is right up the street from one on the best grocery stores in the world; Ukrops. I plan on eating tons and using the whirlpool.
I taught disability awareness training to faculty and staff this morning. The college paid me to design the curriculum and teach the course 8 times each year. I am always a little surprised to see some people “getting” what I am teaching for the first time. They come to me after class and say “I have never looked at things the way you presented them” or “I have often wondered about such and such but was afraid to ask” and you answered everything now. To me the topic is second nature but to them its like a second language.
I was pleasantly surprised to see this new display in London.
